Toronto highway crash claims lives of three students from Bangladesh

A car accident occurred on Highway 427 in Toronto, resulting in the death of three international students from Bangladesh.

The accident was caused by a car travelling at an extremely high speed that flew over a concrete ramp, landed in a ditch, and hit another concrete wall before bursting into flames. Four international students who were living in Toronto were pulled from the car, and three of them passed away.

The Consulate General of Bangladesh has identified the deceased students as Arian Alam Dipto, Shahriar Mahir Khan, and Angela Baroi. The fourth student, Nibir Kumar, who was driving the car, remains in critical condition at a Toronto hospital. Kumar is the son of popular Bangladeshi singer Kumar Bishwajit, according to Consul General Lutfor Rahman.

Rahman also wished for the quick recovery of the injured student. The families of the deceased are working to repatriate their bodies to Bangladesh after the memorial services. A visitation for Angela Baroi was set for Monday evening in Toronto’s west end, while a service for Arian Alam Dipto and Shahriar Mahir Khan was held Monday in the city’s east end.
