Robots are battling it out at the Mattamy Athletic Centre this weekend.
About 32 high school teams are at Ryerson to compete in a robotics competition hosted by FIRST Canada. Each team built a robot from scratch and plans to put its abilities to the test.
The organization offers students the chance to learn from engineers about science, technology and engineering and expand their skills in teamwork. But with industry professionals in the audience and a number of scholarships on the line, there is a sense of added pressure.
