The All Day I Dream event series is coming to Canada for the first time this Sunday, July 17th with a special All Day I Dream of Toronto Skies show. The series, which started in New York in 2011, calls itself a “cult daytime party.” Ever since, the festival has gained recognition internationally and has stopped in cities like Los Angeles, Berlin and Barcelona.
The founders of the event are actually two of the main acts performing – UK DJ Lee Burridge and Dutch producer and DJ Matthew Dekay.
After meeting in 2008, the pair developed a special friendship and decided to collaborate, launching the All Day I Dream event concept. The pair has since created what they have coined “technicolor emotionalism” and aim to create a dream-like atmosphere at their shows.
Adding to the bill, the two will be accompanied by French house music DJ YokoO at Toronto’s historic Fort York grounds.
The festival promises more than just DJ sets, and insists that every attendee will experience a special ambience and a unique venue that will have decorations like draped fabrics, fairy lights and lanterns to accentuate the fresh summer vibes.
You can still buy tickets for the event here.
