The indie/dance music festival, Bestival, is coming back to Toronto for the second time thanks to its large success last year.
Last year’s festival was Bestival’s introduction to Canada after being critically acclaimed internationally. The festival featured two days of non-stop party including a Bollywood Temple, beach parties and fireworks along with musical performances from Florence + the Machine, Flume, NAS, Banks, Alessia Cara and many others.
Bestival’s curator Rob da Bank had nothing but praise for the Canadian fans.
“I still can’t believe how Toronto totally got what we’re all about straight off the bat, so I’m super-excited we’re heading back with a cracking new site, some incredible headliners and a stellar supporting cast to sprinkle our Bestival magic across the pond once again,” he said in a statement to the press.
The festival is coming back June 11-12 for another two day party, but this time it is planned to be even bigger, moving from the Toronto Islands to Woodbine Park in the city’s east end.
Exciting announcements are expected to be released next week and rumours are already swirling about a stacked line-up. Festival-goers can sign up for presale access now through Bestival’s website.
